Keynote Presentation: "Connect to Succeed: Harnessing Relationships for Educational Excellence"
Dr. Boccanfuso's Bio: Dr. Matthew Boccanfuso’s career in education spans close to three decades. He taught all walks of social studies for 13 years, enjoyed 10 years as an assistant principal, and now serves as principal of the same high school. He served on the Council of Administrative and Supervisors board on Long Island. Dr. Boccanfuso served as president of his administrative union for five years and is a member of the Long Island Association of Curriculum and Development planning committee. Lastly, he was employed by the College of St. Rose on the team that vetted prospective administrators. Dr. Boccanfuso’s mindset and mental model for success in education has its foundation in connection. His approach to connection includes student/community voice and encompasses the value of interdependence. Dr. Boccanfuso’s vision is a 21st-century approach to education.
