I am excited to serve as the president of the Western Suffolk Counselors' Association! I have been a member of WSCA for more than 20 years. I grew up in Westchester County and I began my career as an Admissions Counselor at my alma mater, SUNY Oneonta, and that's where I fell in love with college admissions and working with high school and college students. I moved to Long Island in 2005 when I began my tenure at SUNY Old Westbury where I serve as the Associate Director of Admissions. I live in Northport with my husband and our two middle school aged children.
I have been a member of WSCA's Executive Council for a number of years and have chaired our Scholarship Committee. Being part of WSCA has been a great experience and I am always learning something new. I encourage you to get involved in our community, attend our in-person and virtual events, and get to know some new people. I have met so many great people being part of our organization and I encourage you to get involved, join the executive council, share your ideas, have your voice heard, and let's work together collaboratively with the ultimate goal of assisting each other so we can best help our students be successful in their future endeavors.
